Lighting Words That Work in AI Photo Prompts

Lighting is the fastest way to change how an AI photo feels. Specific words beat vague ones like "nice light".

Terms to use

• Golden hour: warm, soft sunlight near sunset.
• Rim light: a bright edge around the subject, good for cinematic shots.
• Softbox / studio light: clean, even portrait light.
• Neon glow: coloured night-street reflections.
• Candlelight: warm, intimate, low-key mood.

How to combine

Pair one light with one lens and one mood, for example "golden hour, 85mm lens, calm expression". Too many styles confuse the model.
